Public release: 0.2.2

Public release 0.2.2 · Minecraft 26.3 / Fabric. Release boundaries.

0.2.2 is the public Clockwork Bosses release for Minecraft 26.3 on Fabric. Keep a public server on its matching release jars and use the production Workshop.

This page describes the public release mirrored by this site. The Moves library, attack wizard and tracking-fireball tutorial belong to development, not 0.2.2. The separate 0.3.0 beta also has its own build and Workshop channel.

Install the public release

Use clockwork_bosses-0.2.2.jar with Minecraft 26.3, Java 25 or newer, Fabric Loader 0.19.5 and Fabric API 0.161.0+26.3. Install the universal jar on the server and on clients using the editor, custom skins, glow or audio. Players without Clockwork Bosses can use the native Warden fallback; other mods can still require their own client installations.

The core and Workshop connection are in one jar. Remove an older separate web companion when upgrading, keep its configuration and data, and restart after replacing jars. Reloading templates cannot install a new mod version.

Shared encounter music

0.2.2 adds a shared music library and the bundled boss1.ogg and boss2.ogg tracks while retaining 0.2.1 gameplay. In Sounds → Music, choose the shared library source and a track, then Save. Use Reload saved to apply saved settings to a loaded encounter. Neither bundled track is selected automatically.

Existing templates keep their template-local music when music.source is absent or null. Selecting a shared song stores a reference instead of copying the song into every template. The 0.2.2 music section has the release-specific folder and source controls.

Release boundaries

The public release retains pupils, the burrow visibility fix, full native emergence timing and saved-box arenas. Later targeting deadlines, expression rules, encounter PvP protection, template-update commands and development channel routing are outside this release. The addon API remains experimental revision 1; addons must match their server core.

For the recorded release checks and remaining listening, Windows and multiplayer limits, use the stable 0.2.2 checkpoint. Those results are release history, not a fresh gameplay test from this documentation pass.
